Shopper perks.Larger retailers are always capable of offering a ton of deals, and you’d be crazy not to take advantage of them. sign up for e-mail or mobile alerts for exclusive coupons and offers.

Know before you go.Another plus for Penney’s shoppers: there’s no need to go into the store, unless you just really want to try something on. The retailer’s entire selection is available online (you can even make some purchases best on their Facebook page). and with every item, the site shows you where the item is available and if they have it in your size. Go online before going to the store to find out of it’s worth taking a trip into the store.

Brands you’ll love.We’re serious, fashion snobs, don’t count JCP out for cute fashions. The retailer has considerably improved their fashion options (although some stores still need a bit of fashion help) with lines from Nicole Miller, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Mango. What’s more, there’s even a Sephora inside the store, and while we have yet to confirm it, the sales associates promise it’s cheaper (we haven’t personally seen much of a difference).

JCP Extras.It’s worth mentioning JCPenny Optical, Portraits, Salon and customized Decorating, which offers you a totally free in-home consultation. other distinct offerings from the retailer include wedding and gift registries, the Teleflora flower club and Jodee, a selection of post-mastectomy fashions.

The fine print.Don’t worry, with JCPenney, the fine print isn’t intimidating at all. Wtih a receipt, you have up to 90 days to return an item for a cash refund. After 90 days or without a receipt, you can still return it for store credit, but just for the lowest on sale price within the last 30 days.
