Color motivation

The motivation process is the essential idea when coming up with new color schemes as well as design. This assists you see what will work as well as why. From discovering the process of an inspiration, I was able to discover the two different sides; motivation for color choices, as well as motivation for a particular collection.

This summer, I dealt with Brynn on the spring 2018 inspiration, colors as well as designs. The process started with looking with magazines, Pinterest, as well as other platforms to find up with what color plan we gravitated towards.  Some colors stood out much more than others, while some did not. much more specifically, a eco-friendly shade had caught Brynn’s eye that I ripped out of a magazine, while one more color caught mine; a skin toned peach.

We both had a color in mind we wished to follow, which differed drastically. however now we needed to figure out was exactly how all of these colors would soon come together. From even having both colors in mind, we were able to establish what color combination would look finest as well as in what shades (exchanging the peach for a darker shade). This process took rather a long time because of evaluating textures, as well as inspecting if the leather colors were in stock.

While taking a look at our finalized color combination, Brynn yelled out that the colors made her believe of the “fresh outdoors.” keeping that in mind, I proceeded to find up with a new motivation board including pictures that provided me that indicator as well. An motivation board portrays a designers collection with the color plan used, as well as the vibe it represents with the images. While looking with Pinterest for some type of lead for our motivation board, I came across The French Polynesian Islands. These gorgeous islands had the prefect feel for the outdoorsy environment with the bungalow huts discovered on water to their sacred tiki torches. I began to research study much more about the island’s culture as well as way of life to see if it would be a great in shape to represent our collection, as well as it was indeed! We then integrate the traits discovered on the French Polynesian Islands into our color names to assist much better depict the collection’s vibe.

Inspiration can come from anywhere, as well as it was truly fascinating exactly how even just one easy color option led to a whole collection being evolved. As a designer, you are continuously seeing things as motivation as well as it’s interesting to see the roots of precisely where the product came from in addition to a awesome experience being apart of the total circle!
